    I entered as a freshman in 1967.  Roommates Dan, Brian and Jeff, in a room by the maid's closet.  Previous occupant in this was a guy named Jaffe, who would lob water baloons over the roof onto the road and yard below.   • Whatever happened to your ashtray?

    Back in the olden days, anyone who managed to remain at Bowles through his senior year was awarded a bronze ashtray with his name engraved on it, whether he smoked or not.  It was, for those who never saw one, and I expect that includes most of our younger members, made of cast bronze in the form of Bowles and the area in front of …

  • The Spring Luau

    Another wonderful tradition at Bowles during the 1980s was the Spring Luau that we did jointly with the women at Stern Hall.  After kicking things off at midnight on Friday, we spent the rest of the weekend enjoying wonderful food, drink and activities (sliding down the front lawn of Bowles).  Many a wonderful memory was had.
